Improve your fluid dispensing process

Value Plastics introduces the BPL Series of tubing connectors, a new alternative to luer fittings.

The luer is a standard tubing connector prevalent in medical devices largely due to its ease of use and affordable nature. Unfortunately, however, the common use of this standard design has resulted in the risk of tubing misconnections within healthcare environments. Alternatives to these fittings have therefore begun to increase in popularity.

The BPL Series of connectors incorporates a quarter-turn design that is commonly used in blood pressure applications – particularly in blood pressure cuffs. Features such as Value Plastics’ patented 10-point grip coupled with the BPL’s winged male fitting provide for top-of-the-line ergonomics, and the snap-on connection presents the end user with confidence that a secure fit has been made. These attributes can be crucial in healthcare environments due to hindrances such as dark rooms, baggy rubber gloves, and the potential for situations that don’t allow time for fumbling.

Value Plastics introduces a technologically advanced series of ports for the single-use bags used to transfer media and drug compounds in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Value Plastics’ new high tech series of bag ports offers a variety of benefits new to the biopharmaceutical industry through a combination of Value Pharma™ resin and a unique design. Value Pharma™ resin holds credentials that many manufacturers deem fundamental, such as animal derivative free qualification, USP Class VI certification, and the guarantee of heat sealing and conformance with polyethylene bags. The resin then goes even further to provide a strong, 24-hour resistance to alcohol stress cracking.

Their unique design sets these new ports apart from existing solutions. They not only conform with frequently utilized tubing sizes from 1/8" (3.2 mm) to 1" (25.4 mm), but they are also designed to ASME and BPE ferrule specifications, allowing them to work with leading industry fittings, filters and other devices. However, the most notable of the bag ports’ specifications are those that are new to the industry – the parabolic lead and the alignment ribs. These two features, respectively, reduce the amount of time it takes to drain a bag by 24 percent and improve flow dynamics through the port.

The MQC Series™ is an intuitive Push-to-Connect design and arguably one of the most versatile quick connect solutions on the market. Value Plastics offers designers worldwide the broadest selection of male luer and female luer fittings and connectors, luer adapters and luer accessories. Over 120 separate luer configurations are offered in nylon, polypropylene, polycarbonate and PVDF, with many color and special material options available from stock or upon special order.

Tube-to-tube connectors and fittings in sizes ranging from 1/16" (1.6 mm) to 1" (25.4 mm) ID in over 100 separate configurations. Available styles include straight connectors, elbows, tees, crosses, Ys, multi-port connectors and multiple straight, elbow and tee reducer combinations. Barbed fittings come in a variety of styles to fit your application.

Value Plastics offers two distinct families of quick connect fittings (quick disconnect couplings), the XQ and SBL Series products, for applications covering 1/8” (3.2 mm) through 3/8” (9.5 mm) ID tubing.

Our sanitary ﬁttings are designed for use in single-use container ﬂuid transport systems, manifolds and wherever sensitive ﬂuids must be transferred. Offered in two ﬂange sizes, 1-½” (“Maxi”), and the popular ¾” (“Mini”) size commonly used with small tubing sizes, both work with flanges made to the ISO 2852 and ASME-BFE speciﬁcations.

Value Plastics offers a complete line of acetal and nylon fittings and connectors for use with non-invasive blood pressure monitoring equipment. Blood pressure cuff connectors and monitor cable adapters for the bayonet (push to connect) and Dinamap® (threaded) standards are available to fit tube sizes between 3/32" (2.4 mm) and 1/4" (6.4 mm).

Plastic tubing fittings and connectors to join tubing to commonly-used threaded ports. Available in straight, elbow and tee connections for tubing. Thread styles include 10-32 UNF, 1/16 – 27 NPT, 1/8 – 27 NPT, 1/4 – 18 NPT, 1/4 – 28 UNF, 5 x .8 metric, 6 x 1 metric, bottom sealing threads and other special thread types.

These conical seal fittings expand our range of products for small-bore connector applications in medical devices. They offer the reliability, convenience and ease of use of luer fittings in a design that cannot be interconnected with conventional luers. They are available in sizes to fit 1/8" (3.2 mm) and 3/16" (4.8 mm) ID flexible tubing.

Two check valve product lines are offered: SCV Series single check valves and DCV Series double check valves.

Based on combining interchangeable components, joining junction blocks and luer, hose barb or threaded features to create the desired configuration. Junction blocks and features may be bonded together to create multi-port, multi-axis products that receive and redirect fluid flow in whatever direction the designer desires.

Value Plastics offers additional fluid management products to the healthcare OEM. Included are stopcocks, check valves, clamps, large bore luer-type fittings, plastic tubing and injection spikes.
