Checking Out
View Cart
When you add an item to your cart, or click any of the "View Current Cart" links,
you will be taken to the "View Cart" page. This page is also the first step
of the checkout process. This is shown by the steps along the top of the cart as
seen below:
There are several tools in the cart that are numbered above:
- This is the quantity to be purchased of the part on the cart line. The quantity
field is auto-filled with
the minimum order quantity for that part. If you wish to change the quantity, enter a new number
and click "Update Cart".
- This is the next available date for the part in the cart based on the quantity of
that part you have in your cart. If the part is currently
in stock, this date will read today. Otherwise, it will show you when we next expect
to have these parts in stock.
- If you click this green question mark, you will get a new window with a larger picture
of the part and more part details.
- If you click this red "X", you will remove this item from your cart.
When you are ready to checkout, click the "Checkout" button.
Review Address
In order to proceed to this step, you must be logged in.
If you do not have an account you must create an account.
In this step, you are presented with your payment address and your shipping address.
Please carefully review these addresses and make changes as necessary. Changes made
to your addresses here are also made to your account, and are not for this order
only.
Once you are satisfied with your addresses, click "Ship Method".
Ship Method
On this step, you must select a shipping option for your order. After selecting
a shipping option, the "Review Order" button will become active and you can proceed
to the next step. If your order contains some parts that are in stock, and some
parts that are not in stock, you can select to either ship them as they are available,
or wait and ship the entire order complete.
Review Order
This screen presents you with your order along with shipping charges and applicable
taxes. From here, you cannot change any of the lines in your cart. If you want to
modify your cart, you can simply click on the "Step 1" picture in the steps list
at the top of the cart. If you are satisfied with your order, click the "Payment"
button.
Payment
The Value Plastics website orders can only be purchased with a Credit or Debit card.
You cannot purchase parts online with a purchase order, cash, or check. On
this screen, you will need to enter your credit card number, the card ID number,
and the card expiration date. You will also need to double check your name and billing
address. Once you are ready, you must read and agree to the Value Plastics terms
and conditions and check the box above the "Place Order" button. Once you have done
this, you can click "Place Order". As soon as you click this button, the order
will be created in our system, and your card will be charged.
You will now see an order confirmation on the screen. You will also receive an email
order confirmation. You can return to the website at any time and check the status
of your order through your account management tools.
