International Partners Take Center Stage

Ask EngineeringIn an increasingly global economy, Value Plastics is proud to serve a growing number of multi-national organizations with manufacturing facilities all over the world. Many of these dynamic organizations serve rapidly growing markets. How do they stay a step ahead of local developments to remain competitive?

Value Plastics' new Director of International Accounts Jim Skog understands the challenges these organizations face. He's making his mission one of service to our international partners — certified distributors who are contracted to provide Value Plastics products to these global customers in their respective territories around the world.

Skog says, "Many economies of the world are growing faster than the U.S. domestic market. By expanding our international business we gain greater economies of scale to continue to offer competitive solutions around the world." As a result, Value Plastics is always looking for ways to better serve and support global demand when it comes to industrial manufacturing and medical device development.

Experience in building relationships
Skog is putting his 25 years of experience to work spearheading the effort to continually improve service to international partners, and develop new partner relationships. He says, "Value Plastics and our international distributors have a very win-win relationship. They have helped us develop new business in their territories and we have helped them to grow their businesses and the customers they serve."

"This relationship means customers in other countries receive face-to-face support for their qualification processes and just-in-time deliveries for their manufacturing processes," Skog says. As the international partner network grows and becomes even stronger, we know that all parties will benefit — Value Plastics, our partners and the end users they serve.

Skog will focus on improving communications, identifying and supporting areas where service can be improved, and scaling our capabilities to meet the growing needs of international customers. "Our commitment to our international partners is to provide top-quality parts for medical and industrial end users, with excellent support, documentation and on-time delivery," notes Skog.

As we do for all our markets and customers, Value Plastics is continuing to listen to our international partners so that we can keep abreast of the needs of their customers and improve our business models. Skog says, "We are leveraging marketing ideas and programs that are effective, and increasing our communications about new products, materials and pricing."

Ready to grow
Skog is up for the challenge. He says he came to Value Plastics because he had an interest in the medical marketplace and wanted to "find a company with a progressive culture and high standards for quality." He has not been disappointed, and adds, "I love being a part of a U.S.-based manufacturing company using sophisticated automation to compete in global markets."
